We were commissioned to design and visualise a football facility in Dakar, Senegal: a region in which our client saw an opportunity in the rising popularity of sports, particularly football.
Our design focused on incorporating local vernacular architecture into the new project and ensuring climate sustainability. The proposed single-storey football academy includes an outdoor pitch, five-a-side pitches, a training gym, and social spaces organised around internal courtyards.
The facility aims to meet international standards for safe and professional play while providing a visually appealing environment. Passive cooling techniques, local materials, and sustainable design principles were employed to enhance energy efficiency and integrate with the local context.
Overall, the design will provide athletes with a vibrant and functional space for training and community-building.
